My name is Alexandra Barrera and I am currently in my fourth year at the City College of New York, majoring in biology and minoring in psychology. My interest in the healthcare field sparked at a young age being a part of sports and viewing how much healthcare plays a major role. I chose optometry because of the amazing field and how important eyesight is in our everyday lives. I hope to show other minorities groups that whatever you set your mind to can be achieved
